VEX Robotics System

My local Radio Shack has the VEX Robotics Design system in stock. I'm not quite sure about them for a variety of reasons: there's no list of what exactly is in it, it's pricey (300USD) and it's brand new and unproven. The weird thing is that they encourage bending of the parts in construction. That seems like it'd just weaken the metal and screw up subsequent builds when things don't line up property. I think I'm going to stick with my LEGO Mindstorms....then again my birthday is coming up.
